The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is initiating phase 3 of the Trusted Workforce 2.0 Rap Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program, which requires some shipbuilders who currently hold a security clearance to resubmit electronic fingerprints. The Rap Back program is a service provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation that ensures records for cleared individuals are continuously reviewed during their eligibility period and enables real-time notification of changes to an individual’s criminal record.

DCSA is providing a vendor to assist with the collection process. Shipbuilders who require new fingerprints will have the option to either pre-register online via a vendor link provided by the O15 Clearance Office or attend an event that will be designated for walk-in appointments. Pre-registered appointments are expected to take no more than 15 minutes, and walk-in appointments should take no longer than 30 minutes.

Impacted shipbuilders will receive further information in the next few weeks regarding registration. Additional arrangements will be made for any shipbuilder is unable to attend one of the scheduled sessions.
