The O18 Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) Office plans to host Newport News Shipbuilding’s seventh annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration Friday, Jan. 13, at The Apprentice School.

Dr. Latitia McCane, director of Education at The Apprentice School, will be the guest speaker for the event, which will include three sessions – 7 to 7:30 a.m., 12 to 12:30 p.m. and 8 to 8:30 p.m. – to accommodate shipbuilders working on all three shifts.

Space is limited and each division will be assigned an allotted number of attendees who must register by Friday, Dec. 16. For questions regarding in-person registration, shipbuilders should reach out to their division representative. Refreshments and shuttle services will be provided for all shifts.
