Register Now for MLK Celebration in January

The Newport News Shipbuilding Diversity and Inclusion Office will host the ninth Annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration on Jan. 17, 2025, with guest speaker Thomasina Wright, vice president of Fleet Support Programs.

The events are open to all employees by reservation only. Three sessions will be offered in the old Apprentice School gym, Bldg. 601 to accommodate first, second and third shifts.

The event will begin with third shift employees, from 4:30 to 5 a.m. A bag breakfast is included for in-person attendees.

The second session runs from 11:30 a.m. to noon, and includes a livestream option. The final session is 8-8:30 p.m. A bag lunch will be provided for both sessions for in-person attendees. A charge number will be available, and NNS will provide shuttle service to and from the event.

Register for the in-person events and the 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. livestream event on the Diversity and Inclusion SharePoint site. Space is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis for in person and WebEx.
