Newport News Shipbuilding offers open parking for second shift only – between 1 p.m. and 1 a.m. – Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Open parking means shipbuilders can park in any space in an NNS lot on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of their zone hangtag.

Please note: Open parking does not apply to spaces identified as 24-hour reserved, spaces used by government and U.S. Navy personnel, HII Family Health Center parking, privately owned and leased lots, expectant mother, visitor and handicap spaces. Shipbuilders who park in these spaces are subject to towing.
