The Innovation Summit is a multidisciplinary collaborative environment where innovators from around Newport News Shipbuilding can gather to showcase their ideas, projects and implementations. Having a centralized network of innovators and implementers helps drive collaboration, technical growth and drives down rework.

This forum allows employees to connect and learn about past, present and future ideas and projects that may impact their daily work or someone in their value stream. Innovation often feels like a lonely endeavor, and the Innovation Summit brings ideas together to grow and gain visibility. Visibility leads to understanding, understanding leads to involvement, and involvement leads to action and implementation.

The project team in Department E92 is looking to understand the need for information sharing and communication on innovation activities and would appreciate shipbuilder input on experiences and impressions at NNS. Shipbuilders are asked to complete the questions in a survey on MyNNS. The survey should take less than five minutes, so no charge is provided.
