Kendra Queeney, manager of Supply Chain Procurement, is the Newport News Shipbuilding recipient of this year’s HII Compass Award for Compliance.

The award is presented annually to one corporate office employee and one employee from each of HII’s divisions. Winners were selected based on the following criteria:

• Shows focused commitment to HII’s Compliance Program.
• Takes active steps to support compliance work plans.
• Diligently promotes continuous improvement.
• Demonstrates thought leadership on effective controls and ways to prevent and detect misconduct.
• Leads as a compliance champion.
• Positively impacts the company’s culture of ethics and compliance.

Paul C. Harris, HII executive vice president and chief sustainability and compliance officer, announced this year’s winners in a memo to employees earlier this week.
