Nicholas Wobser (X18), a welder at Newport News Shipbuilding, represented the company as a nominee for the Virginia Ship Repair Foundation’s Senior Tradesperson of the Year Award.

The Tradesperson of the Year awards recognize excellence in the shipbuilding, ship repair and related maritime industry workforce. Two awards are given out each year – a senior award for a tradesperson with more than five years of experience and a junior award for a tradesperson with less than five years of experience.
