Shipbuilder Desirae Owens (K98) was selected for the Security Star Award for outstanding security performance and engagement. The competition was keen; however, Owens was a stand-out among nominees in the merits of her security contributions and excellence.

The Security Star Award was presented by John I. Clark Jr., director of Security and Emergency Services,   and Clarence L. Watford (O15), NNS facility security officer.

This honor recognizes those who have demonstrated a strong commitment to help maintain the safety and security of the company, fellow employees and the nation’s warfighters.
