Kari Adams (T55) was recently recognized with a Level One On-the-Spot Ethics Award for upholding and demonstrating Newport News Shipbuilding’s company values.

Adams was setting up a new work center when she questioned an element of its proposed work. She reached out to multiple stakeholders for clarification, and her concern was found to be valid. The team is now working to mitigate the risk related to Adams’ concern.

Jason Sutton, chief information officer, recently met with Adams to present her award and thank her for her willingness to ask the extra question and uphold the highest standards.
