Katrina “Trina” Arsenault was recently honored with a Level One On-the-Spot Ethics award for coming to the aid of a fellow Newport News Shipbuilding employee who had been injured in a traffic accident.

Arsenault was traveling between HII Mechanical’s Lee Hall and City Center locations when she noticed a motorcyclist in the median who had been injured after hitting a deer. Arsenault, who also is a member of the motorcycle community, pulled over to assist the man, who she discovered was an NNS welder. She comforted the motorcyclist until paramedics arrived and called his supervisor.

Damon Saetre, vice president of Integrated Planning and Production Control, met with Arsenault to present the award and thank her for her actions.
