A business review – a weekly meeting focused on safety, quality, cost, throughput, recognition and people to ensure performance targets are met – is one component of Newport News Shipbuilding’s Deck Plate Standards approach.

Business reviews ensure continuous alignment, provide a structured platform for discussing team performance, and help identify areas for improvement.

“A good business review brings different teams together to ultimately remove barriers and create new standard ways of working as a single cohesive team that has the same common goals,” said Bruce Whiteside (X18).
