New Construction Aircraft Carrier Programs hosted its 2nd annual Ford-Class Aircraft Carrier Golf Tournament last month, raising more than $14,000 for two worthy programs while uniting players and volunteers alike.

With more than 250 players and a dedicated team of 30-plus volunteers, the event was a testament to the power of community and collective goodwill. It also transcended the greens, raising funds for Habitat for Humanity and the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society.

Lucas Hicks, vice president of the John F. Kennedy (CVN 79) New Construction Aircraft Carrier Program, reflected on the success of the event.

“Our tournament’s success goes beyond the numbers,” Hicks said. “It embodies the generosity and compassion of each participant, volunteer and supporter who came together to make a positive impact. This tournament is far less about a round of golf and much more about building relationships with those in our industry and our community.”

He concluded: “Together, we’ve not only showcased our love for the game of golf, but also our commitment to serving our community and those serving our country. I am immensely proud of what we’ve achieved together.”
