Dear Shipbuilders,
Today marks one year since my first communication to the workforce about COVID-19. Although I never would have predicted back then that we’d still be fighting the virus today, I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished since last March to keep our workforce safe during an extraordinarily challenging year.

Today, we have an onsite vaccination program up and running, and I am really encouraged by your willingness to get vaccinated. I sincerely thank you for your commitment to health and safety. You inspire me every day as you work around the clock to build the ships that protect our freedom and defend our democracy. Your dedication is seen across our community, and I thank you for joining the fight to stop COVID-19.
