Thank You for Your Participation; Gallup Survey Next Steps

Thank you for participating in this year’s employee engagement survey. I’m happy to report that Newport News Shipbuilding achieved an overall participation rate of 79% – an increase over last year’s 71% completion rate.
Survey results are now available to all NNS leaders via the Gallup Access website. These results provide valuable insight into areas where the company is performing well, as well as areas that need improvement. To keep results confidential, leaders with less than five direct reports participating in the survey will receive results for their division and NNS – whereas leaders with more than five direct reports will also receive individualized results for their immediate team.
Over the next several weeks, leaders are expected to share survey results with their team, engage in conversations and should begin developing an action plan. As you may have seen in HII President and CEO Chris Kastner’s letter earlier today, we need all employees to participate in the action planning process – it’s an opportunity to influence positive changes in your work area and across our shipyard. Additional information about the action planning process will be provided by our O18 Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) Office.
