Newport News Shipbuilding’s Apprentice School craft instructors spend numerous hours training apprentices in their areas. However, they can’t do it alone. Along with fellow apprentices, other experienced NNS mechanics help to teach and train. The Apprentice School management team decided to recognize those individuals by giving them T-shirts that read, “Thank You for Being a Deckplate Role Model.”
