The L.A.W. Program Wants to Hear From You

Published June 28, 2022

For many years, Newport News Shipbuilding offered Learning After the Whistle (L.A.W.), a series of short courses designed to provide professional learning and development after working hours, typically in a classroom setting. L.A.W. classes were postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19. As normal operations resume, requests from shipbuilders for L.A.W. classes have increased. The L.A.W. program team is eager to return and be even more successful.

The L.A.W. program team wants to make sure the program continues to offer employees meaningful, timely development. Input from shipbuilders is needed to understand how the program can best meet employees’ needs to support personal and professional growth. Employees are encouraged to complete a short survey to provide feedback.
