Shuttle Services

Internal and external shuttle services are available to Newport News Shipbuilding employees.

Shuttles outside of shipyard gates – “park-and-ride” shuttles – are available to transport employees to and from parking lots outside of the shipyard’s immediate vicinity. Please visit the Parking with Shuttle Service page for more information.

An in-yard shuttle is available to transport employees to various locations inside shipyard gates. Due to NNS security requirements, the internal and external shuttle routes must remain separate.

Taxi Services

Taxi services are available to transport shipbuilders from one area of the company’s campus to another as well as to and from park-and-ride lots outside of peak hours. To request an NNS taxi, call (757) 846-7730 at least 25 minutes in advance. You will be asked to provide the number of employees included in the request.

NNS Vehicle Request

Shipyard departments are able to reserve large company vehicles to transport groups of employees. These vehicles can be reserved from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. unless otherwise approved by completing a request form on the MyNNS Parking and Transportation website.
