United Way Campaign Ends Friday

Published February 16, 2021

Newport News Shipbuilding’s 2021 United Way campaign continues through Friday, Feb. 19. This year’s campaign, “Better Together,” reflects United Way’s mission to create a lasting impact through initiatives to help end the cycle of poverty and engage the community in giving back.

One hundred percent of contributions to United Way of the Virginia Peninsula and its partner agencies go back to local communities. “When COVID-19 hit our community fast and hard, we knew the needs within our community would be exacerbated, affecting family, friends, neighbors and fellow shipbuilders,” said Judy Fundak (K18).

Shipbuilders who increase their donation by $1 per pay period – or initiate a new $1 donation per pay period – can make a difference for those in the community facing dire situations. To make a contribution, shipbuilders can access the Newport News Shipbuilding Gives website at nns.yourcause.com or through MyHR using MyID, located on pay stubs and the Outlook address book.
