Virginia-class submarine Utah (SSN 801) was christened Saturday, Oct. 25, at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut.

Ship’s Sponsors Sharon Lee and Mary Kaye Huntsman broke a bottle of sparkling cyser – a honey and apple cider wine from Utah – on the submarine’s hull during the ceremony.

Like all Virginia-class submarines, Utah was built by shipbuilders at Newport News Shipbuilding and Electric Boat.
