Newport News Shipbuilding welcomed Virginia Secretary of Labor Bryan Slater to the shipyard Thursday, July 13. Slater toured NNS facilities and talked with shipbuilders. As secretary of labor, Slater oversees a wide range of regional, state and federal programs that connect Virginians to skills, training and opportunities they need to succeed.
