Corporate Citizenship (K18) is celebrating National Volunteer Month by hosting a volunteer appreciation event at Coastal Fermentory from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 26. Whether shipbuilders volunteer for a Newport News Shipbuilding-sponsored event or program, donate blood, or help a local charity, school or church, K17 wants to acknowledge what they are doing to support the community.

NNS volunteers will get a hot dog and chip snack, NNS Gives car magnet and a bag of swag. In addition, the event will benefit the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. Coastal will donate 10% of its profits and 100% of the tips from the evening to help fight hunger in our community. Join us to socialize with the many volunteer shipbuilders. The event is open to the public, but there are limited quantities of food and giveaways.
