The Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG) is cleaning veterans’ headstones from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. April 29, at Greenlawn Memorial Park (2700 Parrish Ave. in Newport News).

Headstones wear over time, and unless there’s a family nearby able to care for them, their inscription will become unreadable. If you and your family can spare one to two hours, VERG encourages you to come out and show your support. The rain date is May 20. This event is open to all NNS employees.
