Newport News Shipbuilding 5K organizers are looking for dedicated volunteers to help create a safe and memorable experience for runners.

There is a particular need for course marshals, who are vital to race route integrity and traffic flow on the course.

This year’s race will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Victory Landing Park in downtown Newport News.
