“I actually used to have my own horse business in New York, and one day decided I wanted to weld. I do still have two horses of my own, though, so I get to enjoy them on the weekends. I almost went into the Navy after graduating high school, so I see this job as a way to support those who serve. What I enjoy most is the atmosphere. That is the biggest thing for me – who I work with and what we are doing. It’s really awesome when people ask me what I do, and I get to answer ‘building ships for the U.S. Navy.’”
