“I like the variety of things I get to do around the yard – fixing pipe in the ground, repairing concrete, restoring buildings, winter storm detail. We do maintenance on a lot of different systems. There are a lot of behind-the-scenes things that other people wouldn’t normally consider or think about – until you need us. I was born and raised here, and growing up, you have family in the military and you gain friends whose families came here because of the military. This area became a melting pot because of our military, and to know I’m supporting people who are in the same position as some of my family members and other people I care about is a rewarding feeling.”
