We Are Shipbuilders: Will Price
Published May 28, 2025
“My purpose comes from being a retired sailor. I was a guy who turned a wrench and finished as a senior chief on a two-star admiral’s staff. After I retired from the Navy, I knew I had to remain involved. Some of the folks that I’ve trained and mentored have taken my place and achieved even more. That, to me, is the greatest sense of accomplishment. That reflects doing the job well, and I want to bring that same mindset here. As a shipbuilder in Integrated Planning and Production Control, we have to set the table for the waterfront and train the next shipbuilder to be even better. At no point can we lose sight of our obligations. If we fail, shipbuilders on the waterfront aren’t going to be able to do what we promised they could do. It’s up to us to make sure that we remove barriers and set them up for success.”
